MedSpa Treatment: What you need to know about HydraFacial MD

What is HydraFacial MD?

HydraFacial MD is one of the latest non-surgical, non-invasive skin resurfacing procedures offered by Shafer Plastic Surgery in partnership with DEX New York.

How long should I wait before I see results?

With HydraFacial MD, results are on-the-spot and long lasting. This is also an outpatient procedure. It is immediate and gives you zero downtime. It means you can return to work, meetings and to your usual schedule after the procedure.

How different is this from other skin treatments like microdermabrasion?

The HydraFacial MD evolved from a more common non-surgical procedure known as microdermabrasion. However unlike microdermabrasion, which uses micro-crystals to exfoliate the skin, HydraFacial MD uses a uniquely shaped spiral tip that creates a vortex effect to exfoliate, remove the skin’s impurities, and simultaneously hydrates the skin. The additional capability of hydrating the skin after dermabrasion is one of the unique attributes of the HydraFacial MD.

What should I expect after treatment?

This non-surgical treatment is safe and you will feel fresh and light after each treatment This is effective at reducing facial wrinkles, redness/irritation, oily skin, sun damage, and treating hyper pigmentation. The treatment leaves the skin feeling smooth and looking fresh.
